How we can help you
On land
We understand the need for resilient, robust, reliable communications when planning, establishing and sustaining land operations. We provide easy to deploy communications, specialist project engineering and IT solutions for recce, liaison, early entry, small team and deployed HQs whether in the field, government facilities or buildings of opportunity. Systems include handheld satphones and Push-to-Talk solutions, through integrated tactical network solutions for dismounted users and uncrewed air systems delivering key imagery, through multi-level secure Command and Control nodes to deployable broadband satellite solutions for at the halt, at the pause, or on the move.
Many capabilities are suitable for airline carry-on, or are checkable, and have been designed for users to set up and manage with minimal training. Systems are either simple to point or ‘autopoint’ and engineering support can be direct to the terminal via LTE or via our 24/7/365 support team. All services are connected from the edge into defence and government networks through our resilient infrastructure.
At sea
We have provided communications and specialist engineering services to Britain’s Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary for over 40 years and currently provide the entire UK Royal Navy with communications and crew welfare services. We have partnered with the German Bundeswehr and Swedish governments providing maritime solutions, installations, engineering support and the latest technology.
We support many NATO and other national naval forces and coastguards globally with our services ranging from Global Maritime Distress Systems (GMDSS) and anti-piracy solutions, through to narrowband crew communications, GEO and LEO hybrid networks, and broadband for operational and welfare traffic.
In the air
Our solutions include military aviation satcom delivered either through channel bonding or broadband services, alongside narrowband mobile satellite services. Our design and engineering staff working with partners can do ground and aircraft network design, installation and certification for platforms ranging from business jets, strategic and tactical air transport, helicopters and uncrewed air systems (UAS) of various classifications. Our networks enable cockpit safety, VoIP, video teleconferencing, tracking, video transmission, position and location services for government and defence officials.
We can provide services to support flight safety and crew communications, tracking, location and positioning services. Additionally, our land solutions include a portfolio with capabilities supporting air planning and HQ staff, ground crews, logistics and medical facilities ideal to support Agile Combat Employment (ACE) or temporary airbases.
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)
Knowing what is going own around you is vital for defence, government and responder organisations. This requires images and intelligence leveraged from a number of capabilities ranging from uncrewed air systems (UAS) or drones, to space based ISR systems.
We provide small form connectivity options to improve the range and network resilience for UAS and other uncrewed platforms – enabling operators to pass information and intelligence to other users and decision makers via small form communications systems leveraging software tools to compress and manage high resolution data. We are also working with partners on connecting space based ISR assets for telemetry and control and to offload their sensor gathered data to users on the ground.
Position, navigation and timing
Knowing where you are, and where other key assets and organisations are, is vital to many operational scenarios. Moreover, this knowledge must be gathered with an increasing degree of accuracy and an increasing assurance that the information is correct and not ‘spoofed’ and will be provided and not ‘jammed’. The solutions are small form, proven in the commercial sector and being fielded to defence and government users with developments planned as these capabilities are rolled out.
We work with specialist partners to augment our navigation aid services with a system that uses multiple Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), software driven referencing to deliver sub 5cm positioning (GPS is usually 5m plus) and also by using multiple GNSS provide resilience to network jamming and spoofing.
