Key Tasks:
Supporting the Senior NavCom Project Manager in:-
- Management of numerous parallel NAVCOM installation projects across our range of maritime customers.
- Management of SATCOM projects as required.
- Following NSSLGlobal’s internal project management processes to ensure delivery.
- End to end management of projects from kick-off to closure.
- Ensuring projects are delivered to internal stakeholders (through life support).
- Assisting with bid activities as required.
- Assisting with pre-sale activities, costings and BOMs as required.
- Assisting account managers in maintaining relationships with customers.
- Co-ordination of internal teams (inc. engineering, field service engineers and logistics) to deliver projects effectively.
- To undertake any project co-ordination duties as may be required and as directed by The Senior Navcom Project Manager.
Dimensions
In conjunction with the Senior NAVCOM Project Manager, responsibility for project implementation;
- Responsible for monitoring own tasks and ensuring completion to agreed schedules;
- Accountability for ensuring all project related costs are recorded and that suppliers are managed accordingly;
- Responsible for ensuring the highest customer satisfaction.
Assignment and Review of Work:
- Assigned by the Senior Navcom Project Manager as part of work allocation process.
- As required and dictated by the programmes/contracts which you work.
- Day to day work is self-monitored.
Decision Making:
- Will need to make decisions affecting work priorities and goal setting.
- Taking ownership and seeing through to completion.
- Proactive and independent decision making required within authority level.
- Takes responsibility for issues and coordinates response before they escalate
Judgement:
- Significant judgement is required to manage the internal cross-boundary relationships to ensure positive outcomes achieved.
- Role is very self-sufficient.
- Judgement required to ensure correct level of priority is attached to work commitment.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to work hard, show tenacity, proactively work on own initiative, solve problems using own judgement, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results.
- Must hold or have the ability to achieve Security Clearance
- Maritime electronic install project/engineering background advantageous or if not will be expected to undergo additional applicable training both in company and own time.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be extremely customer focused with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experienced in standard office applications.
- The ability to produce a high standard of work which meets or exceeds customer’s requirements.
- Flexibility with regards to travel and requirements of the role.
