Main Purpose of Job
We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to manage the coordination of dangerous goods, import/export compliance, transport logistics, and customs documentation. This role ensures adherence to international regulations and internal processes, playing a key role in supporting global trade operations.

Key Tasks
- Dangerous Goods Handling:
- Ensure compliance with ADR and IATA regulations
- Classify and label dangerous goods, particularly Class 9 (Batteries)
- Manage documentation, storage, and handling procedures
Import/Export Compliance:
- Oversee customs and export clearance processes

- Assign Harmonized System (HS) codes
- Maintain trade documentation
- Ensure adherence to sanction compliance and trade regulations (EAR, ITAR)
Transport Coordination:
- Organize and book international and domestic transports
- Communicate with freight forwarders and carriers
- Prepare shipping and customs documents
Customs & Documentation:
- Process customs procedures and import declarations
- Coordinate import approvals
- Collaborate with customs brokers and authorities
Candidate Profile:
- Completed training as a logistics foreman or equivalent in freight forwarding/logistics
- Certified in Dangerous Goods handling (ADR/IATA)
- Several years of experience in shipping, customs, and export control
- Knowledge of trade compliance regulations, including EAR and ITAR
- Familiarity with customs, tariffs, and foreign trade law
- Prior experience with government or maritime shipping customers is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office and ideally ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP)
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style
- Strong team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
