Airtime Apprentice – Redhill, Surrey

Main Purpose of Job

  • To assist with identified tasks performed by the Airtime department.
  • Understand the company’s products and services and how that applies to the billing of services to our customers.
  • To be able to use internal systems and third-party systems to ensure all billing and provisioning requests are resolved for both internal and external customers.
  • Listen and learn from the Airtime team members.

Key Tasks
  • Use of the NSSLGlobal NIBS billing system and third-party systems information relevant to provisioning orders, customer accounts, billing profiles and rates.
  • Assist in processing internal and external requests for activations, deactivations, changes of packages for all NSSLGlobal services and ensuring any Early Termination Fees are advised.
  • To understand the airtime processes and help perform these in a timely manner.
  • Assist with tasks to support the NSSLGlobal airtime monthly billing cycles:
  • Provisioning requests are processed correctly for billing the product.
  • Daily or Weekly housekeeping checks for any errors, non processed CDRs or orders.
  • Ensure invoice validation before approval and issuing the final invoices to the customers.
  • Dealing with queries through to resolution within a suitable timeframe.
  • To assist with the Freshdesk ticketing airtime queues and tickets are manage any tickets assigned to you to ensure they are brought to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Processing customers prepay voucher sales orders, invoices and delivery of vouchers/pins.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assignment and Review of Work
  • Work will be assigned by the Airtime Billing Manager or the Head of Product and Airtime.

  • Common sense required to perform airtime activities with minimal supervision or to seek assistance / approval when required.
  • Time management and prioritisation of tasks
  • Quality of output to ensure an accurate end result.

  • Needs to apply judgement in making sure that confidential information remains confidential.
  • Anticipating problems before they arise and resolving problems which occur.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Good level of secondary education.
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated with a drive to learn services offered by NSSLGlobal.
  • Good level of computer skills, including Microsoft excel and word.
  • Must be Flexible and trustworthy and a team player.
  • Willingness to learn.
